Space Camp

St. Mary’s County Public Schools, in collaboration with the Patuxent Partnership, is pleased to offer the third annual summer Space Camp.

 

A total of five sessions of this camp will be held concurrently.  The sessions are designed for students entering grades 4-6, and students entering grades 7-9. 

 

Camp sessions provide opportunities for students to participate in hands-on, minds-on activities in the areas of science, mathematics, technology, and engineering.  Students will explore topics such as Earth Science, Engineering, Rocketry, Space Citizenship, and Space Science through classroom activities as well as through authentic field experiences that may include trips to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, NASA Goddard Space Center, and the National Air and Space Museum.

All applications received after April 1, 2010 will be placed on a wait list.  You will be notified if space becomes available.
Grades 4-6 Students can choose only one week.
Grades 7-9 Students may register for both sessions
Tuition:  $85.00 per week   (Scholarships available for students qualifying for free/reduced meals)
