St. Mary’s County Public Schools, in collaboration with the Patuxent Partnership, is pleased to offer an annual summer Space Camp.
A total of four sessions of this camp are held concurrently. The sessions are designed for students entering grades 4 - 6, and students entering grades 7 - 9.
Held at Great Mills High School, these camp sessions provide opportunities for students to participate in hands-on, minds-on activities in the areas of science, mathematics, technology, and engineering. Students explore topics such as Earth Science, Engineering, Rocketry, Space Citizenship, and Space Science through classroom activities as well as through authentic field experiences that may include trips to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, NASA Goddard Space Center, and the National Air and Space Museum.
